Statement in relation to Local Crime Community Sentence

The Justices' Clerks' Society is pleased, in principle, to support the Local Crimes Community Sentence Initiative, which it sees as a useful extension of the MIC project.  The initiative should raise public awareness of community orders and as a consequence improve public confidence in those orders.  On a note of caution, the Society would emphasise the need to ensure that individual cases are not discussed
